Born in Sydney and now resident of Springwood in the Blue Mountains. I showed an early interest in art and drawing. Although encouraged by my grandmother, who was a talented potter, it was not considered a career option. I originally trained and worked as a draftsman then moved into marketing, business and project management.

 

I originally had no formal training in art but rekindled the early love of painting by enrolling in evening classes and attended various workshops. In 2013 I received a Merit pass in a Diploma in Landscape Painting from London Art College. I have been tutored and inspired by Peter Gonzales, Joe Penn FRAS, Jenny MacNaughton, Margaret Cowling and Ray Harrington FRAS. I Have toured and painted in Italy, United Kingdom, Paris, Malta, Germany and the Northern Territory of Australia.

 

Painting mainly traditional and contemporary landscapes and still life in oils, I enjoy working both in my studio and plein air.

 

I am a past president  of the Society of Mountain Artists and in 2010 was made a Life Member of the Society. I am a member of Blackheath Art Society and the Macquarie Towns Art Society. I exhibit regularly in the Blue Mountains and surrounding areas.

 

I was previously the Co-ordinator of the Everglades Gardens Gallery in Leura NSW. 

 

I have won various art prizes since 1999 and am represented in private collections in the United Kingdom and America.
